The Water ATM - The Water Vending Kiosk

The Water ATM is a innovation in the field of water treatment with the customized installation of a water treatment plant with a water chiller facility. By inserting an affordable cost of either Two Nos One Rupee Coins or One Nos Two Rupee Coin into the coin slots, one liter of purified and chilled water will be dispensed by Water ATM.
The Water ATM will be installed with RO Plant and Mineral Water Treatment Plant for removal of iron and any odor or unpleasant taste from the water. The concept of the project is coined with the aim to provide ambient cool drinking water to the large population of a geographical area by just expending an affordable cost.
The Water ATM will dispense up to 150 liters of water per hour through its two water vending points which makes it a complete automatic water vending machine with low maintenance cost and zero-man power. The person has to bring an empty container and after inserting coins into the coin slot, the Water ATM will vend the required amount of chilled drinking water. It is a unique concept for dispensing pure and chilled water against a nominal amount of money. The automated vending system in the Water ATM will ensure zero spoilage and misappropriate use of drinking water.

HYDERABAD : The recent spate of moderate to heavy rains in the city may have boosted the groundwater levels by at least half a metre, but a new report reveals that the water thus recharged is highly contaminated with fluorides, nitrates and large quantities of iron. A report on the state's groundwater profile by the Central Groundwater Board (CGWB) says harmful chemicals are present in the water beyond the permissible limits. "It is bad news for the people as the report mentions a rise in the nitrate levels in the water. The basic source of nitrates in water sources is from sewerage , which seeps from improperly built septic tanks," Dr Shakeel Ahmed, chief scientist, National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), told TOI. Waste Water, Effluents, Sewage and squatters threaten Hindon

The Hindon river starts as Shivaliks from Saharanpur crosses through six districts, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Noida.
